In the SUESSEN Active Cradle HP-GX-AC the top aprons are tensioned by a spring-loaded leading edge. Variations in apron tension are automatically compensated. Contrary to rigid cradles, the Active Cradle permits lower cradle spacers for a better guidance of the fibres.

The spring-loaded leading edge has the additional advantage that top aprons can be replaced without removing the unit from the top weighting arm or dismantling the unit itself.
